Comment:
I have just bought an ATI 256mb 9800pro and i am waiting for it to be delivered. I have only ever installed ram before and would like some help. The only thing worrying me at the moment is the 12v connector needed to power the card. When i opened up my pc the other day i saw a big clump of cables coming out my psu. I'm assuming it's one of these that plugs into the card? Any help appreciated.

Having an available plug shouldn't be a concern...what you should worry about is whether the PSU is powerful enough to handle the added stress from the new card
Hellz Yea!

300w should be plenty UNLESS it's a no-name cheapy PSU.

Mine's installed now all working fine so far. Didn't have a spare 12v so had to disable one of my hard drives.
