First, the specs:

Motherboard: SOYO P4I875P Dragon 2 v1.0 Black
Processor: P4, 3.0 GHz, Prescott Core
RAM: PC3200 Dual-Channel DDR 1GB Kit (512x2)
Hard Drive: WD Raptor 74GB
Video: Visiontek Xtasy 9800 Pro 128MB

Here's the problem: I installed everything except the video card (because it hadn't been delivered yet. I stuck an old AGP card in just for setup purposes. Everything worked beautifully and I've got to tell you, this system SCREAMS! I finally received the video card so I put it in. No video whatsoever, not even the BIOS or anything! So I take the card out and a heatsink falls off. I thought, okay what we have here is a bad card. No big deal, I RMA it and get a new one a week later. I install the new one, and again NO VIDEO. I try multiple other cards, they work fine! I contact Visiontek (makers of the video card). They say that SOYO boards have had a problem in the past where they don't supply proper voltage to the AGP socket. I try contacting SOYO, no response so far.

So my friend takes the video card home, plugs it in his machine and it works fine. So does anyone have any possible fixes or suggestions? I'd really appreciate some help.

That's true. I've had that same experience before. I changed to an ASUS board and I was fine.

Flash the motherboard bios. If it is a problem with voltage then soyo has probably fixed the problem with a bios update.
