THG Charts.

I would take the 9700 Pro, ironically that is the card in my primary system, and it handled those games with ease.

I Know about THG charts but they perform almost exactly!! I dont know what to get! is there any other advantage the 9700 pro would have over the FX5700 XT?

I'd also go for the 5900xt, but can't you stretch to a 6600?

Mechruler,

The comparison may be close but, the 9700 Pro edges out the FX5900XT in almost all the tests on that chart. I do see a point in Stu.B's suggestion, if you can stretch your budget, otherwise I'd get the 9700 Pro.

If you're smart, you'll find a way to get a 6600. Pawn something. You mother's wedding ring, her fine china, your dad's truck, anything. Just get that extra forty bucks and get yourself a 6600. That's what I'm doing as soon as I can get my dad to trust me to take his Nissan for a pleasure drive.
