90's Childrens Computer Game

Specs: Windows Vista

I've been knocking myself sensless trying to remember what one of my favorite childhood computer games was. I dont remember much about it (I was very young) all I remember is it was a little boy who lived in a house and there was different activities in each room. Im sure he wore a red t-shirt. The only activity i remember was in the kitchen there was a cooking game where you had to make the food perfect using the correct ingredients, I think he had to serve it to people that came to the window, Im not sure though. If anyone had any ideas on what it could be, i'd apreciate it very much as my niece is at around the right age for the game and i'd love to try and find it for her. Thanks [= x

When I was a kid in the 90's there was a bunch of games I used to play at school on the old Macs. I played Number Crunchers, Geometric Golfer, Oregon Trail, Amazon Trail and I think it was called Color Dragon or something. There are 2 more games I can't for the life of me think of. One was a bear in space, I remember shooting garbage and stepping on platforms that either rose up or launched the bear in the air. The second game is the one I'm agonizing over. All I remember from it is that there are different parts. You could open a fairy tale book and click and drop ogres and princesses and all that good stuff in the story. Then another part of the game you could go into a mouse hole and it would be a board game with a mouse and two other characters. A roll of the die and your character moves, the spaces on the board were rigged in areas and could either launch the player forward or backward...Anyone have any idea what I'm babbling about? Please let me know before I shoot myself. haha thanks

When i was in first or second grade (1992-1993) I played a sort of adventure game where you did different things. I remember at one point you took your character to a giant chess board. At one point you had to grab a pearl from a clam, at another point of the game you had to gather up materials to paint a door in the wall of a castle so you could sneak inside, and you had to time your movements,(click to move) to get past the guards. I remember a talking character near the beggining of the game that would say "Want some Rye!? 'Course ya do!" But you had to pour the rye into a plant everytime he said it. Near the end of the game you had to walk down this path without getting touched by any of the other figures which i believe were undead like creatures. That about sums up my memory of the game. But i would love to know if anyone else could remember the name of it. I also played games like "Oregon trail" and, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" but this one was my favorite and its killing me that i cant think of it.
