BFG 6800GT OC Video problem with FarCry with latest FarCry 1.31 patch and latest Forceware 71.81 drivers. Reinstall of Farcry seems to correct the issue but the problem returns. Anti-Aliasing was disabled.

Here are my specs:

Athlon 64 3400+
ASUS K8V SE Motherboard
BFG 6800GT OC Video Card
1500 MB PC 3200 RAM
AUDIGY 2ZS
120GB 7,200 RPM WD HD
52X LG CD BURNER DRIVE
500W DUEL FAN PSU

Problem:

The mouse pointer shows as a white box at the FarCry Main Menu with a white border around the FarCry Main Menu. The video is horrible during game play with black blotches for water and forests. I saw this problem one time before, and I basically uninstalled and then reinstalled FarCry. FarCry worked fine for a day and now the same video problem is back!!!!!

The problem looks like a bug with the FarCry game because all other games run with absolutely no issues: Halo, HL2, Doom3, UT2003, UT2004.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH FARCRY!!!!!!

I had the exact same problem with my XFX 6600GT. I have buildings at the very start of the game which are extremely bright white. Large area of black, underwater plants with a rectangular transparency around them etc.
I will definitley have to get that patch now.

The only problem is I'm getting almost identical problems in 2 of my other games. The Sims 2 and MotoGP 2. Large parts of the racetrack missing, huge streaks etc. I wonder if the 6600GT is that stable. I overclocked it lightly once and I wonder if thats whats causing my problems. No overclocking at the moment. Keep downloading the drivers as they say.

Thank you for the help.

Farcry has bright textures in game, everything is displayed in very low quality and I have an Geforce 6600GT! Here's the specs:

AMD 64 3200+
Asus K8N-SLI Deluxe
1GB Giel DDR 400
200GB SATA Seagate Barracuda drive
PX6600GT Jaton video with 128 DDR 3
500W Dual Fan Power Supply

Aren't these nuts big enough for Farcry?
