Ok, i was wondering if i should get a 6600gt agp over the 6800 because it has a faster core and memory speed but it has fewer pipelines if i can unlock them on the 6600gt i will buy that if anyone can help me out ide apprecaite it thanks. ps tell me if im wrong

6600gt doesn't have any locked pipes. There have been quite a few posts about this...most advise getting the 6800 if you can afford it

I'd go to a gig of RAM before considering the 6800 over the 6600GT.
"...but in my defense, it was dark, I was drunk, and it was delicious!"

Well, the 6600GT is $50.00 cheaper for one thing, another is that it uses DDR3 instead of the standard DDR that the 6800 uses, also has higher core and memory clock speed then the 6800. The 6600GT is way faster than the last generation high-end cards, such as the 9800xt and 5950xt.
Despite the fact that the 6800 uses DDR and has lowers speeds, it still performs faster then the 6600GT, the 256bit memory compensates for the bandwidth lost of not using DDR3 and you get double the pipe lines, thats 16 in all including the four locked ones. Plus there are 6 locked vertex pipelines. All that said, I believe the 6800 is the one to get for up coming games.
Prescott 2.8ghz @ 4004Mhz 286x14
FSB @ 1144Mhz
512x2 @ 430mhz
9800 se clocked @ 444mhz/800mhz

I ment to say 256bit memory interface (not to be confused with capcity)
