3dmark03 VERY low score

CPU/Ram: amd athlon xp / 384 mb

My 3dmark03 score is 75!!!!!! Why is it sooo low???

Here is my system:
Amd athlon xp 1.5ghz
geforce2 mx/400 64mb
384mb ram
Windows 98

The machine is not crap, but 3DMark01se is a more reasonable benchmark for that combination.

It is certainly unrealistic to try to play modern games on that machine though...it just won't do it.

I agree with Skip, that rig is definitely not crap, it's just not a modern gaming rig

yeah, boo to all the people who's quick easy response is "that's crap." It isn't really a modern rig, though. Because most modern games focus on GPU (especially 3DMark) that's where i'd focus, if you wanted to upgrade. That video card you're using, is it AGP 8x? Find out what your motherboard supports, and buy a new card. You could get a decent one for $50 easily. Just make sure you don't get one your motherboard can't take (PCI express, for example).
