3D Mark06 score good?

Subject: 3D Mark06 score good?
OS: Vista
CPU/Ram: E6850@3GH 2GB crucial Bal
Model/Manufacturer: custom
Comment:
I recently just built a new system here are the specs

CPU:Core2 duo E6850
MOBO:Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
RAM:2x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC-6400,4-4-4-12
Graphics:EVGA 8800GTX
HardDrive:160GB WD @7200RPM SATA2

Those are my basic system specs. What I was wondering about was my 3DMark06 score. I ran it and I scored a 10911. It then showed a screen that showed my score compared to all the other scores people had with similiar hardware. I was at the very end of this graph that showed people who had similiar hardware. This means that of all the people who have my basic hardware that I scored dead last.

I was wondering if this is right, does that mean there is something wrong with my system?

Is there anything I can do to make my score better?

Is that even a good score for the hardware I'm running? I'm asking this because I just built this system, my first, and I'm worried I did something wrong that would be causing me to be last on the graph.

I read the chart and it seems to indicate that what I scored was normal for the system I built. But what I don't understand is why, when I ran 3DMark06, it said that I came in last out of people that had my same hardware? Maybe they were overclocking?

Anyways, I'm just glad to hear that what I scored was normal. And thanks for the link Jam.:)

Somebody has to come last - eh ;-)

The fact that it is you doesn't necessary make the benchmark result flawed. Furthermore, a benchmark is well .... a benchmark, real-time gameplay is where the actual experience truly matters & your 8800GTX, right now, is plenty fast enough for serious gaming.

I wasn't really worried about the benchmark being flawed; I was worried about my system possibly being flawed. But yes I think my system is fine for gaming...for now.
