I know this may sound like a stupid question, but how much of a difference is there between two NVidia 7300 gt 512 mb in SLI and 1 8800 gts 320 mb.
Thanks

Sorry, but it is a stupid question. You're comparing two ends of the spectrum. The 7300GT is low end...the 8800GTs is high end. It doesn't matter that it has 512MB & it wouldn't matter if you paired two up in SLi...the 7300GT is a crappy low end card. There are at least a dozen single cards that would easily beat the pair, but the 8800GTS would destroy them!
The 7300GT 512MB sells for about $50-60. Two would obviously cost $100 or more. For less than $100, you can get an 8600GTS.

"jam"
Sorry, but it is a stupid question....
The Only Stupid Question,is the one that's not asked.Granted the 7300 is not a good choice for a video card...but how would he know if he didn't ask.
not everyone learns as quickly with computers...everyone learns at their own pace....
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q66003 Gigs Ram
Windows Vista Home Premium

Quad Core All The Way !!
If It Isn't Broken Don't Fix It. !!!!

"the 7300 is not a good choice for a video card...but how would he know if he didn't ask"
Obviously he already knows or he wouldn't have worded the question the way he did. Regardless, a little googling or a trip to Tom's Hardware would have turned up the answer.

Used to own a 7300gs which is slower then 7300gt(used to be fast at the time)until i came across a game "Lost Planet" i nearly cried when i got only 15fps .
threw the 7300gs across the room and made sure it broke in half ....now happy with a 8800gtx8800gts would be 8-10 times faster than 7300gt sli mode
8600gts would be a nice choice for mid-rang gaming
