How do i check whether my ram is 184 pin or if its something else.

It all depends.

Do you know what kind of RAM it is, i mean, DDR or non DDR.

DDR usually has 184
DDR2 usually have 240

another way to tell is by looking at the notches on the side and how many holes there are.
