I am going to be installing XP, and I want to make sure everything is working and I've patched and prepared everything before I upgrade. I ran the program from Microsoft checking your computer to make sure its compatable (the Update Advisor), and I got it back, and I am working out the problems.
My question regards what it said about hardware (which would be drivers) updating... It said I should check: - Generic NEC Floppy Disk - Existing Ndis2 Driver - WAN Miniport (ATW) - HP Fax Port (COM8) - HP Print Port (COM7)
I am wondering, since I don't know what any of these do (except the floppy, obviously) where to find the upgrades (for XP) and how to know which is the proper driver upgrade for this driver. Please let me know, cause I'd like to begin installing XP as soon as I figure these out. Thanks!
it can be god to know that many floppys have problem running under XP. Iv tryed one from sony and one from NEC and non of them works. but they work fine under win 98.....
