Reply: (edit)Take the xp-drivers on the nvidia-site. They are named detonator and work with every card with nvidia-chipset.

Reply: (edit)Actually, the latest detonator drivers (23.11) for XP are NOT working for me. I also have a Diamond Viper V550 on my Windows XP box and the whole machine reboots when I run Diablo II (I go into the game and for about 2-3 minutes it runs, but suddenly reboots w/o warning). When it comes back into Windows XP I get a message that tells me there's a problem with the video driver on the V550 (TNT nVidia card). I've tried reloading and even running w/o the latest drivers, but it's not working. Obviously neither Diamond, nor S3, nor Sonic Blue have or had any inclination to support this card in Windows XP, but I'd like to know if there are any 3rd party drivers that might work but won't have the problems the latest detonator drivers are having. Ideas?

Reply: (edit)I'm using Creative Blaster Riva TNT, and have also had no success with Nvidia's latest incarnation of their "one shoe fits all" driver. The only driver that works well with this video card when using XP is the native driver that is automatically loaded by the operating system. Not much of a difference in performance anyway, so not a real problem. Just my 2 cents. Good luck....
