Hello!
I need a driver to use my scanner in Windows XP. I tried it on tne Mustek Homepage, but I didn't find anything. So is there anybody who has an idea what i should do or is there anyone who has such a driver, please help me, because I need that thing

mark22 did u have any luck with your drivers for the bearcat and xp I am having the same problem.
Maybe you can help me out if you can please
Paul

i am also having the same problem as mark22. wen i try 2 install the bear paw software on windows XP it says it is only windows 98 compatible so where can i find a new driver???

Guys I’ve got a Packard bell 1200 (apparently same as bear paw 1200) and I managed to get hold of the drivers at http://www.mustek-driver.de/bp1200.html for xp but i still can’t get it to work i need a .inf to initialise the driver so if u guys can help cheers.

Right, just found this link:
http://www.mustek-europe.com/html/faq/faq_english_XP.html
this has an 840k XP patch for the win2000 drivers for the BP1200 scanner - am about to see if it works!
Incidentally, the BP1200 is the same as the Packard Bell Diamond 1200 - **** Dixons, PCWorld and Packard-Bell for having such awful sites and lousy support.

this is the page u need. it has a link for full instructions of how to install the drivers. u need both files on that page (5.55Mb + 9.73Mb)
hope that helps.

This was the way I found quoted from:
http://www.mustek.com.tw/Download/html/english-xp.html
sorry if the formatting is a bit rubbish.

You can try following solution if the XP-Tool is not working:
Start menu run program "Regedit.exe".
in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
rename the key "ProductName" from "Microsoft Windows XP" in "Microsoft Windows 2000".
Install the Mustek driver for Windows 2000.
Undo the changes in the Registry, when you have finished the scanner driver installation.
