XP can't see the modem

Hi,

dell dimension3000 it has a modem card installed. I installed netzero dial up for free ,and when trying to connect I get 797 can't find or bussy modem. I can not find the modem in device menager nor anywhere in that PC? thanks

... try removing the modem card, then stick it back in again
and see if it works now.

... had any storms down there? ... it could of fried the card.

Thanks,I tried that and did not work, look like I have a bad modem card.
