i sure hope someone has an answer to my irrating problem ,
i have a dell diminesion 2400 with a 40 gig harddrive , i recently downloaded an iso copy of windows 7 beta , burnt to a dvd and installed it in my pc .
the installation went swift and easy , i was very pleased with the easy install and really no problems , i had to download a couple updates from ms but other than that it was fine ,but !!
i noticed that my screen was in large mode , i can only view half of a page unless i slide over to see the rest , i tried compatable method , no change ,in display it only shows 16 bit colors ,640/480 resolution with no other changes available ,i attempted to change mode to 256 colors with different resolutions and it was very distorted ,i tried a hard drive i was using with xp home and it is perfect , i put my drive back in with windows 7 beta and my color is back to 16 bit only , so i figure my onboard graphics card is ok ,my question is what can be causing this ?i have tried everything and so far a deadend .
this is the only problem i am having , everything else is good !!
i know windows 7 beta is a new os but maybe someone has had or has the same problem or close to it i just want my normal colors back !please help here is my pc specs .Field Value
