Thanks again, Dave. Was that a typo when you labeled the file as vmm32.vxd or is that the correct name. Notice it is VMM not VNM. Also, how do I install it if you care to elaborate. I am a newbie to computers

I believe it should be vmm32.vxd since as far as I know vnm32.vxd does not exist. Have you tried to copy it to your c:\windows\sytem direcotry? Also what operating system are you using?

Thanks Dave, no, I don't think I have...I have been doing so many things for the past few days I don't remember. I am using Win98 on a Pavilion 6640C..Like I said, I am a greenhorn with computers and don't know too much. Any help you can give, I will greatly appreciate it. TIA......AL

Windows 98 has a nice utility called SFC which can restore system files. You can restore that file from your windows 98 CD or point it to the location of where you saved the file I sent you. To run system file checker goto start-->run and type SFC.
