Make sure you have the latest DirectX installed on your computer. It's 9.0c at the moment. To find out, click on Start then "dxdiag" (without quotes" and press Enter. Once it has finished loading, look at the bottom area of the dxdiag screen and look for a version of DirectX.

I see you have an HP computer, to make things easier to find drivers for your video card, let us know the Model of your HP and we'll go from there.

i am having similar problems but with neverwinter nights.when i try to run the auto-configure program it stops at 11% and an error msg comes up saying *unexpected program aboration* and then it says that the video driver is causeing the problem and that i should update it.but i dont get it cause it will run but it is really jerky and slow but it only requires 800mhz and im running 1000.i downloaded and installed directx 9.0c in hopes that it would get it to run better but it didnt help and the same error still somes up.i am running ASUS CUSI series SiS VGA but i couldnt find a driver update for it.any help would be very welcome
