I also am having trouble intalling a viedo driver... Not found on computer or CD.. Ran Belarc and nothing came up under display. I am not really sure what I am looking for under Belarc but the hassel is that it keeps poping up every time I boot.
Also I can't ID my sound car: I believe its intergraded into the motherboard. I sounds very poor since the upgrade to XP Pro service pack 3...

I did install the audio driver and graphics drivers and did get the audio up but not the video controler.. Is it the chipset I need to upgrade or the bios? I am not sure.

Last night I disabled the adapter and shut down the computer. This morning after reboot no message about new hardware, so I downloaded and ran SIW and found this info under Video… (monitor NO, Modes, of course many screen modes available and then DirectX.) Then I enabled the adapter and ran SIW once again; same info.
For the heck of it I rebooted again with the adapter enabled and NO message about new hardware found. (????) Not sure what I did but at least I don’t get the annoying message on boot: If I can’t install the inf for my monitor so be it. The system seems to be running OK for now.
Thanks so much for your help…
