I'm not a computer newbie, I can fix most computer problems, but this one is extremely frustrating:

I took my Soundblaster 5.1 Live! soundcard out of my PCI slot and inserted it to the last slot of my PCI slots to create more airflow for my gfx card. When I turned my computer back on, my windows wasn't detecting my sound hardware, so I turned it off and moved it back to the original slot that it was on before. I turned my computer back on, and to my suprise, windows couldn't recognize my soundcard still. So I tried re-installing my driver with the software on the CD (and the software I downloaded on the official website). I get a notice that a file is needed at 95% of the installation, asking "The file 'drmk.sys' on (Unknown) is needed." Not knowing what to do I just canceled it. When the installation finished, I restart my computer and still, windows couldnt detect my sound. I get frustrated, so I disable my onboard sound, do all the installation and still get the same error. I tried using my onboard sound (including re-installation of the driver softwares for this) but windows couldn't detect that either, it couldn't detect any sounddrivers.

I take a look at the Device Manager and I find four yellow exclamation marks (!) on, C-Media AC97 Audio Device, Creative Game Port, Creative SB Live! series, and MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device. I virus scan, spywayre scan, adware scan, system file check, and chkdsk my computer, and get the same results.

I look up the file drmk.sys online, and it said it could be found on my windows\system32\drivers. So I try to install the soundblaster software again, and when I get to the "Files needed" notice, I find the file and load it up, then it asks for another file "wdmaud.sys", I find that too and load it. After all the loadings a notice comes up and says one of my installation files are missing to complete installation. After all this B.S nothing worked. So now I'm stranded with no sound. Usually installation would be a breeze, just pop in the CD, and install. This is a very complicating problem, hopefully someone can help me! Thank you for taking your time to read!

U know what?! u better format C:\ and reinstall Windows, i think it's totally screwed up on your PC.
If u see yellow exclamation marks (!) then it means that u have serious conflicts there between hardware. Then try again. Otherways u will play with this slots forever.
