Comment:
I am trying to use a USB Mass Storage Device (Came with my Xp) on a 98. When inserted, Windows begins the PnP method of finding the correct driver(s). Well, it hasn't found 'em, not even when searching Win. Update. Can anyone tell where I can get and install these drivers? Many thanks

Presumably a digital camera/card reader??

Win 98 will need the camera/card driver - do you know the manufacturer, if it's a card reader?

This is a process:

If you are using a Hub...it must be installed and fully functional before the Drive is hooked up. When hooking up a hub REMOVE all external devices...ONLY plug in the USB cable to the hub and PC Port and WAIT.

If your Root Hub on the system or external Hub has any errors....the drive will have problems.

Using a hub or not follow these to hook up your drive.

Again, Drive is NOT connected to the cable....Plug in the usb cable into the PC/Hub and then Drive enclosure and WAIT....the drive should come up.
