I have a PC which has USB 2.0 ports. I recently bought a USB to Serial converter from BAFO (model BF800). It is 1.1 compliant. When I install this device, then my PC reboots (OS is Windows 2K Pro SP2). Then somehow it stopped rebooting, but now the problem is that when I try to install the device, it says device name already in use. However, all my other USB device are working fine, which are USB 2.0 compliant.

Can someone please suggest some fix?
