I have a PC which has USB 2.0 ports. I recently bought a USB to Serial converter from BAFO (model BF800). It is 1.1 compliant. When I install this device, then my PC reboots (OS is Windows 2K Pro SP2). Then somehow it stopped rebooting, but now the problem is that when I try to install the device, it says device name already in use. However, all my other USB device are working fine, which are USB 2.0 compliant.
