Okay here's what happened: windows xp had a severe bug an a blue screen came up with a line at the bottom say it was wiping physical memory with numbers in percentages increasing in value.
when I turned off my computer and rebooted everything was fine...except my video card could not be verified...the computer simply reads it as not there. the video card is a G3Ti200 Force by MSI. the no matter what thing I go under to read what the system has for a video card it says it's the default safevga system. the card apparently is not even connected and yet I'm looking at it right now being connected and there is nothing physically wrong with it.
the card must be fine because I'm reading these forums on my monitor that is connected through the video card.
Dear god this is frustrating the hell out of me. Dam you microsoft and NVIDIA and MSI! those thousands of monkeys must have gotten around to writing OS's and video drivers!
