i would like to install duel operating systems in my office.

I am unable to install Windows NT 4.0 on seagate 40gb hard disk.

I also want to install windows 98se on same machine please tell me.

Hi Chichi,

First of all you need to be sure that your seagate is recognised on the BIOS.

Then go to the command prompt, type FDISK and partition your HDD, e.g 20Gb for your win98 and 20Gb for your windowsNT

Then the first, you have to install Windows98

when you've done this you can run the winNT installation, you need to have a NTFS partition to be able to install NT, then follow the NT instruction.

At the End you should see when you boot 3 line windows 98, winNT and winNT (mode vga).

The largest partition that an NT operating system can be installed on is 4096 MB.

Partition Magic 7 (Pro)is a nice program that will simplify the process of installing two Operating Systems..... if you want to spend the money on the Program. It has detailed info. and will walk you through it step by step.
