Thanks in advance to all who reply!!!

Could sure use the Toshiba XM-6102B CD-ROM drive specs and driver(s). Have a PC I am working on for an elderly couple who have somehow got into the BIOS and really messed things up. Even managed to lose Windows 98 driver detection. Any input on the drive itself etc... would really be appreciated. Have re-installed Windows 98 and it still will not pick the drive up. The drive does work however in DOS mode. Thanks again,

Beerly Bob

Did you ever find the driver? I could do with help on this too? Just formatted the C: drive and now it just says the cd drive is not accessible however in system devices it shows that the Toshiba CD Rom XM 6102B is there!

I don't know if this will help, but Dell computer has some information and specs on this drive.. I have been searching the net for Firmware for this unit--so far with no success.. 1106 Is the firmware version number I got from my unit.. I don't know if that is the original, or an upgraded Firmware version.. Toshiba support is very poor..

Here's a website to download some cd drivers in zip format.

http://support.levi.cz/drv/cdrom.htm

Just scroll down to Toshiba and download 1st zip file listed for ver. 2.09

XM-6102B will be listed for this driver file.

Good luck.

Is there any posibility that accidentaly

What can I do in this case?
