It took forever to find the audio driver for this notebook. This notebook, Tecra A2-S336 PTA20U-02H01F, has the Sigmatel Stac 9750TG audio chipset and Intel 855GM mainboard chipset.
The drivers from Dell do not work. Toshiba has absolutely no drivers on their websites (US/Canada/England/Taiwan) for this model. The link below is to another Toshiba notebook that has the Intel 855GM Chipset & Sigmatel Stac9750TG driver which did work for the Tecra A2-S336.
Summary: i have a toshiba tecra m5 that i purchased second hand. unfortunatlly it has been fully reformatted and has no recovery sector. i tried some of the audio drivers from toshiba's site but was no good. ...
