Hello out there. Can any one help I replaced my hard drive for a larger Fujitsu drive. My computer will not let me setup the hard drive. The comands seem to select the A drive (My A drive is an external plug in) what ever I try I need HELP.
PS Its to heavy for a frisby

How big is the hard drive? Could it be that the BIOS can not support a hard drive of that size?

Dave, the HDD is 5 times the size of the old HDD. The guy who sold me the HDD said that they were changable but I am begining to have my doubts. However I have gained a great amount of knowledge.

I looked at the specs for your laptop and it is pretty old. I suspect a BIOS limitation. Here is a link to some software to overcome the problem:

It is definately the internal fluxerating capacitor!!!

What you need is Disk Manager from Ontrack which supports larger hard drives usually the cool company of Hitachi supplies the program files on floppy.Try their website and Ontracks.....
if you have no luck get back to me and I will email the files to you .Tell me what operating system you'll be using on your new HDD
