Subject: Thinkpad now has a small screen!
OS: 98se
CPU/Ram: 233
Model/Manufacturer: ibm thinkad 770
Comment:
I just got done installing win 98SE in my older thinkpad 770. After I installed it, my screen is half the size. my screen is about 12x9 but the image on the screen is now about 6.5 x 4.5
it leaves a thich black border around the screen.

I tried to change the res from the 640x480 but that is the only option.

Does it sound like I need to download a driver? is there a way to fix this?
this is A IBM Thinkpad 770

If I need a driver, does anyone know what one?

Thanks
G

Usually in BIOS there is a setting for SCREEN EXPANSION, if so make sure it is enabled.

Yes you should be able to go to 800x600 resolution, IBM still list drivers:

I downloaded a updated driver from the ibm site for the 770. now the screen is bigger, but now at 75% of full screen it got 25% bigger with the new driver. I still can not get full screen. I can now get 600x800 but still not full screen.
