I have a dual socket Tomato T810B-SE motherboard with PIII 500. It has an AC'97 sound card onboard. I was using it very smoothly until two days ago when my PC suddenly told me that i was having a problem with the sound card. When i reinstall the driver, windows98 displays a message as follows:
message1: fatal error with some big number. Press any key to terminate the application then after i press the any key two times, it after sometime displays a VXD error.
on windows XP it gives an error saying the hardware is not responding properly. It also shows hardware conflict. Please Help

My headset is not giving very very low sound. How to rectify this?
I have Windows'98 second edition installed on my system, with AC'97 sound card.
Also, I tried to plug-in external sound card(Aztec) after disabling on-board sound-card in setup. The system refuses to recognize the new hardware.
Please help.
