Bit more info required - does it POST (the first beep)? Do the activity lights on the front of the case illuminate at all?? Or does NOTHING occur when you try to switch it on???

all data will be lost.
very likely the hdd is NTFS and ME must have Fat32 file system.
1)at prompt A: type in FDISK - say yes to large disk support - select option #4 ,does to list under type NON DOS or FAT32 ?

IF it list NON DOS press Escape once - select #3 to delete partition and follow display.

Once done reboot- run fdisk again and select option #1 (create a dos partition)- reboot

()at A: just type in FORMAT C: -(if fdisk at step #1 listed FAT32 do same)--reboot with the ME CD and install.

More info on fdisk- http://fdisk.radified.com/
