16 colours.. hmn.. shouldn't there be more options than that?
Seems like when I wiped my computer, it didn't detect a graphics card. I 'opened her up' and found that I -don't- have a graphics card.
Is there some software somewhere that I can download so I can choose a higher resolution and more than 16 colours?

Alas, merely 16 colours.

Alrighty.. I downloaded Everest to see what kind of stuff's on here... but I'm lost. >.<
Under devices, there's something called Intel 82810 GMCH0 - Graphics Controller [A-3] and under that is a list of what it is, I guess. Also, on the left side of the screen under +Display are 7 items, 2 of which seem to have something to do with graphics (Windows Video; PCI/AGP Video).
So which do I look to?

Alas, merely 16 colours.

It appears that you have i810 intergrated graphics ,or as some call it onboard graphics ! My P3 also had i810 intergrated graphics and I ended up installing a ATI RADEON Graphics card ! The bi810 is ok for one who will use their system for office work and working on documents etc. However if you want to get into gaming or graphic editing type of task ,the 4M.B. of video mem the i810 has will fall short. I tried runnig a 3-D screen saver with the i810 and it would notn work ,when i tried the same screen saver after the grapfhics card was installed ,eye candy ! I disabled the onboard graphics in the BIOS and in device manager. Dont try remove in device manager ,cause everytime you boot up you will be prompted to reinstall it )found new hardware wizard. You dont need to be a PC tech to install a graphics card, I was a newbie to the world of computing and so far I have added more RAM ,installed a graphics card and a sound card ,installed an internial CD-RW , and a additional fan for extra cooling ,if you can follow directions, then you should not have any probs .If you dont have the manual for your M.B. ,find it online , see if you have an AGP slot ,if not you may have to go with a PCI graphics card.
Good Luck Nick
