Comment:

I'm planning a format and a clean re-install of Windows 98SE. I've run into a problem before with my sound drivers after a reinstall of the OS. Question:What is the best way of going about making sure I have the correct drivers (sound and others) before I format. What I'm asking is how and where should I save them before the format and reinstall of the OS so I can reinstall them later.
Thanks,
Joe

You could download and run Everest and Belarc advisor they will list all your drivers and their locations.

Save them on a CD and when prompted for the location of the driver/s after reformat and re load, point to the CD you made.

You should also save any Docs, favorites, e-mail addresses and so on, as all this will be lost when you reformat.
