Reply: (edit)Use a tool like Everest (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) which will be able to diagnose all of the hardware on your laptop. Then go to a site like www.driverguide.com & search for the relevant driver. "I know that I'm mad - I've always been mad..."

Reply: (edit)You can download generic modem drivers for Conexant chipped modems here http://www.conexant.com/support/md_driverdownload.jsp The HSF series is towards the bottom of the page - I'll bet the Win 2000 driver will get you going!! Read the installation instructions next to the driver download. Let us know how you get on!

Reply: (edit)That driver didn't work either,However I was able to get it working by Installing Windows XP
on the laptop.I did a check under the modem and it is using a Generic modem driver for XP,but i don't know which one it is.
