|I have an SJ30 w/ Home Basic 64. Unfortunately I only have a partial answer. Instead of letting the CD insertion run the default SETUP.EXE, I found that going to the \PC\Palm Desktop for CLIE\Setup.exe and running that one instead will at least get the Palm desktop and hotsync manager installed. Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Handheld and do the following for all the .EXE files: Right-Click -> Properties -> and check the "Compatibility Mode". and either Windows 2000 or Windows XP SP2.|
Now the problem I haven't been able to find a solution to is that when I try to hotsync, the PC says it found new hardware and it tries to find the drivers for it and fails. Telling it to look for it on the CD didn't help.
I understand from what I've gathered from browsing the web on this subject that no such drivers exist and Sony has no intention of writing them as they have dropped support for this product entirely :-(
I'm hoping someone out there has a trick that they can share with us. Both my $250 SJ30 as well as my $500 Canon F50 Multifunction unit have been declared unsupported for Vista so I'm not a happy camper right now.
