My HP V4- has always worked well, but has suddenly gone nuts.
I've re-installed the driver from the HP site, have tried everything but can't get it working.
I've also tried repairing and searching on web ... no luck.
It prints sometimes, but badly. Print Queue keeps jamming.
The Print drivers appear to be ok, but in the Other Drivers section I get the message that this driver is not correct.
IEEE 1284.4 compatible printer SM Bus controller, HP V40I've tried uninstalling this, but it re-installs its self.
Any ideas?
ThanksPS
This is the message on the driver. This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

... if you have antivirus disable it whilst installing the driver.

"...pentathol makes you sing like a canary"
... got brain freeze

Thanks..
I've never known antivirus to cause problems with driver install, but I'll give it a try.
The thing is, it was working perfectly well for a a year, then suddenly stopped working.
