Comment: i have a toshiba a100 lapton and put windows xp pro on but can't find a driver for the SM bus controller. my laptop didnt come with backup driver cd and i got all the drivers off the net and even installed the inf drivers from the intel website but no luck. any ideas how i can obtain the driver?

Reply: (edit)Yes - the recovery CD will return the laptop to the condition it left the "factory" : can you not back up any/all of your important data first?
