(question 3): SiS says you don't need a USB 1.1 driver, Windows provides it. FWIW i too have a SiS630 and Win98SE (reinstalled to provide space for a Linux partition), and both my USB devices (Alcatel SpeedTouch fish, and CanoScan LiDE 20) don't *&%$! work on my laptop <grumble>. May be a matter of them drawing too much power???
