Comment: I am trying to get my laptop to detect that there is a USB Hard Drive connected to it through DOS. I am using the DUSE drives to no success. I am sure that there is a specific coding that I am missing in config.sys or autoexec.bat but I just don't understand all the settings. I need for DOS to recognize that this drive is connected.....is that really so hard to do?

Reply: (edit)A search of the forum helps......... http://www.computing.net/dos/wwwboard/forum/15568.html ... though many USB devices will not work correctly whatever driver you use. If this is for GHOSTING would suggest you look at TRUE IMAGE: http://www.acronis.com/
