Do You or enybody else know how speed up the Philips CD-writer? I know it is possible but I can't find the driver or other programme to do it.

Do you mean you want to be able to write cdīs faster or do you want the cdīs you play in the drive to be faster?

A writer can only burn as fast as it can. If your burner/writer can burn at 12 speed max thatīs it. It canīt burn faster.

If itīs the burning you mean:
1. Enable disk caching. look at the right side
(http://www.computing.net/howto/advanced/diskcache)
2. check to see if the disk and your chipset support DMA and select it at the properties of the disk in the device manager (enter it by rightclicking the cd writer).
