Comment:

I have a SCSI PCI interface card, and there is no support under Windows XP Pro. The SCSI interface is a Fireport 40 manufactured by Diamon Multimedia.

Is anyone aware of the availability of a driver to support the device under Windows XP Pro?

I have the same problem. I love my Fireport SCSI adapter and do not wish to give it up. After upgrading to WinXP Pro, I have been searching for a suitable driver. If you will keep me in mind should you locate one, I will do the same.

Regards,
Doug

I got the driver from here.....
http://www.windowsxp-drivers.com/drivers/53/53999.htm

The inf has a comment in it for NT4 but the driver seems to work fine. Make sure you follow the instructions on the site. (manually update the driver via device manager, select "install from list" point it to SCSI & then "Have disk" & browse to where you extracted the files - done)

Also, I found the following message on another board which may be helpful...

"You can also use the LSI Logic 53C875/53C876 Device driver that comes with WinXP.
It will warn you about not being an exact match, but just continue anyway. These drivers are generic drivers for Symbios controllers, which the FirePort 40 is. (a 53C875 to be exact) Works with XP SP1."
