Everytime I start my pc, just before the log on screen suppose to show up, it doesnt. The screen goes blank. Here is a brief history
1.) I can only log on and actually get in my account when in "safemode" and "vga" mode.
2.) I have tried all other methos listed in F8 mode and failed other than "safemode" and "vga mode".
3.) In both "safemode" and "vgamode", if i try to switch the resulotion other than the default "640xsomething", the screen goes blank.
4.My set up is 26in hd tv with hdmi/dvi cord. Everything was working fine up until few days ago. And I have only had the new screen for few weeks. And i am using the xp home edition.
5.) I have tried opening the case for my harddrive, every fan is working and nothing seems to be bulging out of the motherboard and it is not touching the case.

I have tried to search for such errors on the net but couldn't find any solutions.
So my last resort before buying another hard drive I thought it was doing me good by asking about the issue here.

I know it is a complicated issue with many possibilities. If anyone out there had same issue as me or know of a solution please respond back. If there are any other specific details that may help out, ask away. thnkx in advance.
