I am joinng the queue for a HP Scanjet 5300C drivers for Win XP. XP or 2000 drivers would be welcome. Shame about HP's poor website and their lack of support.
Hope anyone can help
thanks, Charlie.

I join the bandwagon........ cant seem to locate the drivers from any place.....crappy HP site and cust support.

See the followind address:
http://productfinder.support.hp.com/tps/ProductFinder?h_lang=en&h_tool=software&h_query=scanjet+5300&Submit.x=7&Submit.y=9It contains all drivers (win95/98/2000/XPetc...)

I have a ScanJet 5300c and it works fine with Windows 2000. It has been a while now since I first installed it, but if I remember right I used the cd which came with the Scanner even though Windows 2000 did not exist when this CD was made. I do not recall an issue with getting it set up. Maybe the CD worked because it has NT drivers on it...

Latest 5300C software is here. "This is the complete scanning software for the sj5300c series of scanners."

It's a 76.7-meg DL. If you're on a modem, this will take a while.

I have a ScanJet 5300c and it works fine with Windows XP. I used the cd which came with the Scanner which I bought a month ago.

I downloaded thehttp://www.hp.com/cposupport/scanners/software/sj664en.exe.html
through my modem and it took all night. My 5300C was still not found. This scanner stopped working after less than nine months of use. HP service leaves a lot to be desired. Email support is canned and they keep saying you have to call them. Rather than pay $2.50 a minute to talk to their customer support and go through trouble shooting, I bought a cheap WalMart scanner. Why would I have to go through trouble shooting over the phone when I have uninstalled and reinstalled 50 times 50 different ways? I guess Gateway spoiled me, they have done troubleshooting over email and sent me parts under warranty but the HP warranty means you will pay plenty before you get anything from them.
No more HP for me ever.
