I have recently purchased a Biostar iDeq 210M with VIA PM800+VT8237 Chipsets and installed a P4 1.6 processor and 1gb of DDR ram and a Hitachi 80gb SATA drive.
When I boot the system I am able to access a SATA RAID Bios screen which recognises my hard drive but will not let me do any thing else but exit, so I cannot select my drive.
If I continue through the win XP setup procedure F6 included when I try any install the drivers for the RAID SATA drive for XP I receive an error message something like:-
File \RAID\WinXP\viamraid.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2113 in d:xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.
After this I am unable to process any further I have removed the memory and formatted the floppy disks several times but am unable to progress any further.
Any help would be gratefully received as after a week of trying to identify this SATA drive am coming to the end of my tether.
