Comment:
Hello everybody, I was testing my friend's laptop and plug in using USB port Sandisk m240 playes. So when I opened "my computer" I found new removable device (playes), I even was lucky to see the used/free volumes of the player. But I completely failed to study the files on the player because when I opened the player's file contents using windows explorer all the folders on the player were shown like "empty". Could you explain if I was doing something wrong or I should install driver for the player? In fact I tried to install driver but found only firmware updates and firmware updater at Sandisk's website but no driver???

XP, as a rule, natively supports those kinds of devices - kind of why you can't find a driver, y'see?

Not a driver issue, you might consider reposting in either the XP or General Hardware forum

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter

You should have been able to see the files, even with out the driver. But I am not sure is the problem. The only thing I can recommend is going to a a tech support site that I had lots of success with. They also have live chat support that you can use for free.

Here is the page for Sansa m240 Support

Good luck

Tom
