s3 virge dx and modem drivers !!

I installed lt win modem drivers for NT, followed by s3 virge dx drivers to support the graphics card. The modem was working fine before the video drivers were installed. Now I am unable to use the modem and the lt win modem service fails to start with an error message that refers to a 'parameter not being set'. Any ideas on how to resolve this conflict???

I am running win 98, but have a S3 graphics card and have problems finding the correct modem drivers on thr modem driver disc! I usually already have the graphics card drivers installed before the modem drivers - perhaps you could try this. To get my modem drivers to install and attach to COM 4 (another problem I get), I first uninstall the modem with the automatic drivers and then restart, and the computer usually finds the correct drivers with my help - i.e. finding the location of the drivers on my disc! Hope this helps
