I also need the XP drivers for this scanner,I'm desperate,I can't find them anywhere and its impossible to run on my computer right now.

This is how I got my readyscan 636i to work for me. (I have windows me) Go here to download the driver: http://www.sparta.rice.edu/~mflores Extract the file and click on install. Once it had been installed, left click on "my computer" and click on "properties". Click on "device manager". Go down the list until you see "readyscan 636i" and click "remove". Click "yes", then click on "refresh" and restart the computer. Any program you have that has the capability of scanning should recognize the scanner. I hope this helps.
