I'm having problems getting my Compaq Armada 1700 to hibernate of go into Standby. It always gives this error 'The device driver for the Compaq Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation'. I discovered from Microsoft support that some software could cause this problem so I reinstalled XP and tried to hibernate without installing anyother software but this didn't work either. I still got the same error.

I finally decided to change the drivers for the keyboard to USB drivers and to my surprise hibernation and standby work but my mouse and keyboard don't work. I have to plug in a USB mouse to be able to restore the drivers. This is my problem and I want to know if anyone can offer any type of help with this situation.
