Comment: I have the PCI Version of the radeon, RV100 DDR 64mb ... The thing is, I have an onboard video card (eww) ... I think its causing the problems, I disabled my onboard card...and set my bios to read pci as the video... I put the card in, and boot up, it starts to boot like normal, but then it just hangs...it completely stops... I tried putting the card in wihle win XP was up and running ( dangerous ;) ), it detected the card...but, just added bizarr...any ideas?

Reply: (edit) I installed the ATI RADEON 32MB PCI card in my system . It had intergrated graphic's i810 ! I remember that B/4 installing the drivers for the graphics card , via the included instructions,I disabled the intergrated graphics in Device Manager in 2 places under display adapters and system devices . My BIOS did not have a option to disable onboard video. Upon reboot my system installed the standard VGA software. I then proceeded with the installation of the drivers and software for the ATI Graphics card. Also ATI told me that the best place for the card would be PCI slot #1. Your manual for your MB should have a layout of the board showing which slot is #1. If you dont have the manual . You can look for a online manual from the manufacturer of the MB.I should note that my O/S is Windows Me!I all else fails , send ATI support a problem report and they should be willing to help you out ? Good Luck Nick

Reply: (edit) Ninwa, Yes using the instructions I poster previously I did get my ATI RADEON 32MB PCI working. Now my O/S is Windows Me , so Iam not sure how this works with WindowXp Dose not WinXP have some kind of Driver Manager thingy not available in WindowMe. Let me know if you have gotten it up and running. Between ATI & Microsoft Knowledge Base information , you should be able to find someone with a simular setup , installing this card. When I rebooted after taking all the steps I decribed B/4 , I had to adjust the resolution of the screen. At frist I was freaked out because the resolution was all out of wack. I adjusted my 17" monitor to 1,064 x 768 pixels. All is good! Good Luck,Nick
