problem with drivers for cd-burner

Hi, I just bought a new cd-burner, a LG gce-8520. In the manual and on LG's site it says that it doesn't need any driver for this and therefor not provided. But everytime I boot up W2K it asks for a driver. Although there is no problem with burning. Does anyone know how to make w2k to stop asking for the driver??
