Recently I remade my network. Since then, my copier prints a "starter page" it says:
**************************************************
User Name: Unknown
File Name: XXXXXXXXComputername
From: 192.X.X.X
Printer: lp
************************************************
I want to conserve paper, it does it every time anyone on the network prints to the printer. Not copies or receiving faxes, just printing. Driving me nuts.

We need to know a lot more about your printer and server to be of much help, but I image this is a setting in the printer. Try using the menu function built into the printer to change this behavior.

Brilliant! I logged into the printer via its web page, and under NIC Setup & TCP/IP settings it had a "Use FTP/LPD Banner"
Yes/No set to Yes. Changed it and it fixed a problem that has plagued me for 2+months. I'm buying a lottery ticket!
THANKS!
