Recently I remade my network. Since then, my copier prints a "starter page" it says: ************************************************** User Name: Unknown File Name: XXXXXXXXComputername From: 192.X.X.X Printer: lp ************************************************ I want to conserve paper, it does it every time anyone on the network prints to the printer. Not copies or receiving faxes, just printing. Driving me nuts.

Brilliant! I logged into the printer via its web page, and under NIC Setup & TCP/IP settings it had a "Use FTP/LPD Banner" Yes/No set to Yes. Changed it and it fixed a problem that has plagued me for 2+months. I'm buying a lottery ticket! THANKS!
