My Ricoh Aficio 270 was refusing to print some documents. I never could see any pattern to the ones it would not print.
Installing a different driver solved this problem - well so far - but it is still printing extremely slowly, like 4 per minute.
I notice that the driver is unidrv.dll and looking at the properties it is version 0.3.1296.4. Googling around I see there is a version 5.2.3790 available for downloading.
Are all unidrv.dll's interchangeable? Can I just replace the old version with the newer one and not risk breaking something? After all it is at least working now.
If I change the unidrv.dll will I need to do anything to the other files that go with it? For instance there is a config file unidrvui.dll with the same version number.

Drivers and system files are O/S (Operating System) specific. Ensure the file you download meets the above parameters. (ie; XP)
It's a good day when you learn something
